Questions for Ted from Realtin:

What were you like in school? Were you the perfect straight A student or the rebellious disobedient type?

I was a non christian in a christian school so I was rebellious by default I suppose. My grades were fine but to be honest I hated high school and couldn't wait for it to be over. So much of it seemed unnecessary and I was dying to get out into the "real world". I'm glad I stuck it out though and graduated. Thankfully now there is facebook so I know what all the people who I didn't know then are doing now! phew....

What kind of music are you listening to at the moment?

I've been on a really big Fleetwood Mac kick lately. Dreams has been on repeat for weeks in my house. It's such a simple song but it's perfect. The pretenders and deadmau5 are getting a lot of love and a friend of mine put out a record called "the peoples side project" I think it's brilliant.

What are your favourite brands of acoustic/electric/ guitars to play?

Acoustic it's gibson all the way for me. I have an LG from the 50s that's great. It's basically a old blues guitar but it sounds awesome and it's easy to play. Also I don't play blues with it(or any guitar for that matter) and I think it works in my favor. The Gibson blues kings that Tegan and Sara play are awesome too. They sound equally good plugged in or unplugged. For Electric It would appear I'm starting a collection but I don't really have a favorite brand. I have Gibson, Fender, Rickenbacker, and Gretsch guitars. They all do different things. For the Sainthood album cycle I played a Fender starcaster, and Gretsch malcolm young II.

Who are your musical inspirations?

That changes all the time. The other day I saw a guy playing slide guitar, kick drum and singing on the street. He was incredible! He sang and played with so much passion. Sometimes I see a band that's amazing, watch a movie with a great score or hear a song I loved 10 years ago.
